Videos: Student-Motivation Tips for Remote Learning

Last year, Katie Hull Sypnieski and I worked with Ed Week to produce four short animated videos on motivation (see Everything You Wanted to Know About Student Motivation, But Were Afraid to Ask).

Three weeks ago, I wrote a popular post here applying those principles to remote teaching (see Four Ways to Help Students Feel Intrinsically Motivated to Do Distance Learning).

I've expanded on the points in that post and, with Katie, created two more short videos with Ed Week building on the suggestions found in that blog post.

One gives tips on how to use "autonomy and competence" to help build student motivation to participate in remote learning and the other discusses using the concepts of "relatedness and relevance."
